The 12th rev supports more than 500 cameras from all major camera brands, while Capture One Pro Sony 12 and Capture One Pro Fujifilm 12 support cameras from those brands, respectively. Phase One wants you to be happy too, so Capture One is available in several versions.

This positive attitude is also expressed in their approach to software licensing. I know this because I’ve hung out with the Capture One crew, and their happiness is palpable. One thing to know about the Danes, besides that they make a killer photo app, is they’re the happiest people on earth. I’m not saying you can’t use Capture One as a standalone app, you sure can, but until such time that they have a cloud offering, I’m happy with Adobe and Capture One on my desktop and mobile devices. While on the road and traveling light with an iPad Pro, I use Lightroom for select photos. When I return to my studio with 10K photos, those aren’t getting synced to the Adobe cloud but managed with Capture One. Last year they released styles, and roundtripping with Photoshop means it’s a compatible app in a creative workflow rather than an either/or competitor. As you can see, there is a long list of support and it mostly comes down to whether or not tethered shooting is available, and if so, if the Pro Sony version is required (rather than the free but less feature packed Express Sony version).
